Making Friends, An Adventure In Profiles

One good thing about starting the new school year is that not only do I get a chance to open up a crisp new notebook (what? You don’t like that new notebook smell?) and buy new clothes, its also because I get to meet new people. Sure back-to-school should be about enjoying your new schedule of classes, but it’s the new friends that you make which make those classes bearable. The other day, I met a new friend to make my time in Online Journalism much more fun, so yay, hooray and goody gumdrops for me. So what is my new friend like? Read below to get the scoop. My mom would be so proud that I’m making new friends…

  • My new friend is named Camille Smith
  • She’s 21 years old
  • Her hometown is Mineola, Texas
  • She currently resides in Denton, Texas
  • She is hoping to graduate from the University of North Texas in May of 2010
  • After graduation, she hopes to snag her dream job as a sports reporter for ESPN
  • She doesn’t have any pets, but she once had a fish named Charlie…we can figure out his plight
  • She has two older brothers
  • She is “living single” as she tells me (and we are kindred spirits because of this)
  • She loves to shop and write poems but don’t count her so girly just yet as she is an avid sports watcher as well as player of sports. She loves playing football and basketball, and she used to play the guard position while playing basketball in high school.
  • She is a big music fan as well, with Beyonce, John Legend, Maxwell, Trey Songz, Keri Hilson and Drake as some of her favorite artists
  • One of her friends is a rapper, and his name is Anthony (aka AMT)
  • She already has her Halloween costume planned as she will be her favorite football player, Adrian Peterson from the Minnesota Vikings. But she’s wearing heels instead of cleats.
  • One of her special talents is that she can poke her belly button in and out

At first I was taken aback by the format, but it works. Embed links next time. Nice writing, but watch wordiness.
